DALLAS

Serving women in crisis (unable to meet basic needs without assistance) who are providers for others (children and/or other dependents) through the Akola Hope Store model. Statistics for Dallas women before Akola: average of 3 dependents; 83% are single; 92% are unable to meet basic food needs of family; 64% have no savings. Akola Hope Stores provide a new pathway for women in crisis with a collaborative partnership to recruit, train and graduate women into an exciting retail career and self-sustainability. Our goal is to restore hope, increase resilience and aggregate resources to empower women with agency to transform their own families and the communities in which they live.
